Nestled in the wilderness of Northwest
Ontario, you will find Long Legged Lake. Long Legged Lake is 17,000 acre
body of water expanding over a 27 mile distance. It is comprised of 7
smaller lakes: West, North, Lift, Middle, Stork, Pantry and South. Our lake is
a natural flowage to the Long Legged River, and in turn flows into the
English river system. The total Long Legged chain of lakes are navigable
from North to South lake.
It is here we have our resort on North Lake. We offer the sportsman and
fishing enthusiast a vacation of a lifetime, with many creature comforts
unexpected in such a remote setting. On Long Legged you will find many
islands, bays, and reefs that compliment a fishery of world class
walleye, lake trout, northern pike, and musky "Hybrid Tiger,
Spotted, Barred, and Clear Strain". Long Legged Lake still holds
the Ontario record for the hybrid (tiger) musky.

Long Legged Lake has a long history dating back to the 1800's. A trading
post servicing Hudson Bay was built and eventually offered to the public
as a remote fly-in outpost in the 1940's. Though many improvements were
made, it remained a fly-in until 1973 when the logging industry opened a
road to the lake making this remote area accessible by vehicle.
Our resort is located on Long Legged Lake chain. We are
just 245 miles north of International Falls, MN, approximately
40 miles west of Ear Falls and Red Lake, Ontario, Canada. You
can drive to Long Legged Lake on Hwy 105 north from Vermillion
Bay, Ontario and take #804 west from Ear Falls, Ontario. Our
resort is not road accessible, therefore we
provide transportation by boat from our parking facility to the lodges
at no extra charge. Or for those who choose to fly-in, we can assist you
in arranging floatplane service from Fort Frances, Ontario; Winnipeg,
Manitoba; Kenora, Ontario or Baudette, Minnesota, USA. - with
connections from just about anywhere in the US.
